May 1772

Who being upon Oath says he is a Linen Draper in Cheapside that
he has many Times employed John Gross< no role > and Thomas Bedwell< no role > now present
to print Linens and Cottons for him, that about two Months ago
the said John Gross< no role > and Thomas Bedwell< no role > shewed him some Patterns to
have Linens and Cottons printed by that he did accordingly send
to them a Quantity of Cottonsto themto be printed that he has
since found part of the said Goods on board the John Galley bound
for Boston in New England Unmanufactured and not at all begun
to be printed, that he has been credibly informed and verily believes
that the said John Gross< no role > and Thomas Bedwell< no role > caused the said Goods
