The Information of Ebenezer Simms< no role >
taken before me this 20th. day of May 1772

Who being upon Oath says he is Master of the John Galley bound
from London for Boston in New England that about the latter End
of March last a personwhonow present who calls himself Thomas
Bedwell sent who then called himself Charles Young< no role > applied to this
Informant at the New England Coffee house in Threadneedle Street to
takeknow the Price for a Passage to New England, that afterwards
the Said Thomas Bedwell< no role > made an Agreement with this Informant
for a Passage to Boston for himself & John Gross< no role > now present and
five other Persons, that the said Thomas Bedwell< no role > also caused
72 Packages containing Linens Cottons and Household furniture
to be put on board this Informants said Vessel, that the
said Thomas Bedwell< no role > appointed to some on board the Vessel at Deal
and to bring the other persons withthemhim to go to Boston
