Parish of Stockbury
near Maidstone
in
the County of Kent
Farmer taken before
me this 10th. day of July 1771
who being upon oath says, that between the 20th and 21st day of June
last a Black Mare the property of this Informant was feloniously
Stolen out of a Field belonging to this Informant in the Parish of
Stockbury aforesaid, says that on the said 21st day of June he found
his said Mare which was so Stolen as aforesaid in the Possession
of a Person now present who calls himself Thomas Glasscock< no role >
and who was then offering her to Sale in Smithfield market
, says
the said Glasscock told this Informant he had purchased the said
Mare that morning of a Man whom he called Kentish Tom. for
£8..8..0 & a half and this Informant further saith that he doth
verily believes and suspect that the said Thomas Glasscock< no role >

London, were both concerned in Feloniously receiving his said Mare
knowing her to have been Stolen as aforesaid
