could be guilty of so rash an Action, to which
he made answerdidhe did not throw her out
of the Window, but that she had thrown
herself out, that he then asked her how she
came to be naked, to which he answered that
the had tord her Shift off & had likewise tord
his Shirt: that he then shewed Dept. her Shift
which was almost tord to pieces & Also his Shift
which was much tord: that sd. Daniels Coach
& Waistcoat were off as likewise & his Hatt & Wigg
all which Dept. desired him to putor: on that Dept.
with the Assistance of the Watchman & others
immediately took the sd. Thos. Daniels< no role > to the
Woodstreet Compter , and on his Return from
thence went to sd. Daniels House where he saw
Sarah< no role > the wife of sd. Daniels lying upon the Bed
speechless and as if she was lying, and the next
Morning between 7 & 8 o' Clock he saw her dead

Says [..] that sd. the Daniels Appeared to be something intoxicated
St with Liquor.

maketh Oath & saith that on Friday Evening last
between 10 & 11 in the Evening Dept. being at his
Dwelling house almost opposite to Thos. Daniels< no role > House
Depts. Servant Maid informed Dept. that some person
had been thrown out ofwindow atDaniels Window
on which Dept. with a person with him immediately
an into the Street where they saw as Dept. thought a dead Body
lyes that Dept. the person with him took hold
of the person by the Arms, & Legs which appeared
to be a Woman & the Wife of Thomas Daniels< no role > : that
they removed to a Gateway adjoining to Daniels House
that she was quite nahed & had several Wounds or
Brusises about her Groin; that she appeared to Dept.
to be quite dead; that Dept. went up the one pair of Stairs in Daniels
Houses where Dept. got a Poher, & then went into Sd.
Daniels Lodging Room, that he saw something lay
on a Table in the Room wch he held up & appear as to be a
Woman's Shift almost tord to pieces ;that Dept. asked sd.
Daniels how he could be guilty of so heinous a Crime
Dept. meaning his throwing his Wife out at the Window
to which Sd. Daniels answered she had thrown herself out
that Dept. asked him how her Shift came off to wch. he
answered it was done in a Snuffle between him & his Wife
