Informations taken on Oath this thirty first day of
August 1761 at the parish of Saint Botolph
Aldersgate in the Ward of Aldersgate without
London, on an Inquistion taken on View of the Body
of Sarah< no role > the late Wife of Thomas Daniels< no role > then and there
lying dead before Thomas Boach< no role > Esqr . his Majesty's
Coroner for the city of London

Mary Allen< no role > Wife of Francis Allen< no role > of Hare Court
aldersgate street Watch finisher being sworn and
examined upon her Oath saith that on Friday
Evening last about a Quarter of an Hour after ten of
the Clock being at Supper at her Dwelling house
(being about three Doors from Daniels House) this
Dept heard a Woman scream very much or
which Dept advanced to the Window: says the
person then ceased to scream but soon afterwards
screamed again: that she heard the voice of a
man but could not distinguish what he say
that she heard the Woman says my dear life, my
dear Soul any dear Creature never no more:
that then she heard a noise unto the knocking
on an Hammer as if nailing up a Door: the
woman then screamed again saying, any life
never no more my dear Soul never no more

Says she then went down stairs & went
into the Street thinking she heard the Noised
from thence & believing it to come from Thos.

the woman being quite naked & crying out [..] save
