in the County of Middlesex
maketh Oath that on Sunday last about ten
of the Clock in the Evening as Dept. was upon
Duty near the Watch house in St. Luke's Parish
he heard a Report that a man was mentind
in Sun Alley
on which Dept immediately
repaired there and went into the Room
where he saw the declared lying in a Bed
in the Room and [..] says he believes the
declared was than alive, but not able to speak
Says that before, he observed the Deceased
he saw Mary Alsop< no role >
, who as Dept. is informed &
believes cohabited with the deceased wiping
up Blood with a Dich Clout which Blood
seemed to be congested and ringing the Blood
into a Pole which stood there. That thereupon
Dept. asked said Mary Alsop< no role >
, who had done
that (meaning who had stabed the deced)
to which she made answers that it washer
Son. Says she seemed not at all concerned at
what had happened.
