The humble Petition and Appeal of the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Leonards Foster Lane London

Sheweth

That by an Order or Warrant under the hands and
Seals of the said Sr: John Barnard< no role > Kt : and Sr: Thomas
Lombe< no role > Kt : two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for
the said City one being of the Quorum) bearing Date
the Eighteenth Day of August 1738 Mary Crook< no role >
Widow of Henry Crook< no role > deceasd. and her two Children
Henry< no role > aged Thirteen Years and Mary< no role > Aged Six Years
were by the said Order removed from the Parish of
St. Giles without Cripplegate London to the said Parish
of St. Leonards Foster Lane London as the Place of
the last legal Settlement of the said Mary Crook< no role >
Widow and her two Children whereby your
Petitioners humbly Conceive they are wronged
and Agreived

Your Petitioners therefore humbly Pray
Your Worships will be Pleased to hear
and Determine the said Appeal and
your Petitioners releived as to your
Worships Shall seem meet
