Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and the
Liberties thereof one being of the Quorum by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Man a [..]
HillLondon That
Richard Ash< no role > Deborah< no role > his Wife & Thomas< no role >
his Child aged about thirteen years are

lately come to reside in your said Parish not having obtaind any
Legal Settlement there and are likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and forasmuch as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
ye. said Richard Ash< no role > that he Served ye. three
last years of his Apprenticeship with John Buckland< no role >
a Carpenter in ye Parish of St. Saviours Southwark
in ye County of Surry
And no other Subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
Said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
Settlement of the said Richard Ash< no role > his Wife &
Child
to be in the said Parish of St. Saviours in Southwark in
ye. County of Surry And that thitherto they ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to Will and
Require You the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Mary at Hill
London forthwith to Remove and Convey the said
Richard Ash< no role > with his said Wife & Child
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of
St. Saviours Southwark in ye. County of Surry
And them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for them according to Law. Given
under our hands and Seals this 23d.day of Novr.
one Thousand Seven hundred and thirty eight .
