The Examcon of Ralph Mitchell< no role >
taken the 21st day of Novr. 1733 before me

The sd Exaiant on his Oath Saith that on the 25th day of
October last abt. Eight of the Clock in the Evening of the
same day this Examinant in Company with Long Will
otherwise Blackwell William Brown< no role > Joseph Whitlock< no role >
Entred into the house of Colonel James Des Romaines
Scituate in Paddington in the County of Middlesex and
Robbed the Said House of Several peices of plate a Gold
Watch Several Rings Wearing Apparel and other
things of a very Considerable value And this Exaiant
further Saith that he this Exaiant being well Acquainted
with Edward Boddenham< no role > at the Ship in the Old Bayly
Watchmaker and haveing frequently Sold him Severall
Watches which this Exaiant had Stolen from on Board
Vessells in the River of Thames , and A Silver three pint
Tankard & Siver Spoon also Stoln by this Exaiant he did
Apprehend him to be a proper person to assist this
Exaiant and his Companions in Disposal of some of the
Goods Stoln from Colonel James Des Romanies And
accordingly did in Company with the aforesd Wm Brown< no role >
and Joseph Whitlock< no role > go towards the sd Edward Boddeham< no role > 's
house at the Ship in the Old Bayly aforesd but in their way
thither this Exaiant And William Brown< no role > left Joseph
Whitlock at an Alehouse some little distance from the said
Boddenhams House this Examinant haveing been
Cautioned by the said Boddenham never to bring more
than one with him whenever he came to sell him any Goods
for that he would never bay any thing of him when there
were more than two in Company; And this Exaiant and
the sd Wm Brown< no role > being [..] come to the sd Boddenhams
House in the Old Bayley aforesd went into a Private
Drinking room & called for a pint of Beer and sd Boddenham
seeing this Exaiant and being well Acquainted wth him
came into the room where this Exaiant and the sd Wm
Brown then were and asked this Exaiant what they had
got whereupon Brown produced a Gold Watch [..]
sd Boddenham required of this Exaiant & sd Brown what
they asked for the same & this Exaiant asked him Sixteen
Guineas upon which the sd Boddenham offerred them for
the sd Watch Eight Guineas & bought it at that Price
