Examinants said masters Shop and asked for three bundles
of Iron hoopes saying he was sent for them by Mr
Mercer
a wine Cooper, & that Mr Mercer would pay for
them upon which Mr: Heyford sent this Examinant with
the sd. three bundles of hoopes in company with the said
Cross, who
[..] directed this Examinant to carry you into

Saying that Mr Mercer had a vault
there, & when the sd. hoopes were carryed thither, the said Cross
[..] desired this Examt. to leave ye sd hoopes at a vault door in
Devonshire Square
(which be said belonged to Mr. Mercer) & goe
to Mr. Mercers in Billiter lane
with the bill for the money, & this Examt
accordingly left the sd hoopes at the vault door & went to Mr
Mercers with the bell for ye money & Spoke to Mr. Mercer who
declared he had

[..] whereupon This Examinant
returned to Devonshire Sqare but Cross & the hoopes were
gonewhich hoopes are of the vallue of about thirty Six Shillings
Sworne the 21th of
Oct. 1733 before
