WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two ofHisMajesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Ethelburga
London, That one Jane Baskervile< no role > Widow of Edward
Baskervile
< no role > Carpenter hath lately intruded herself
into & is now resident in
your said Parishnot having obtained any
legal Settlement there, andislikely to become charge-
able thereto by reason ofher age and poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Jane Baskervile
that abt. thirty years ago she & her said late Husband
were House Keepers in the Parish of St.Peter nearBennet at
Pauls Wharfe London at ten pounds P ann rent & by
any me and whatsoever did
not obtain any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge thelast
legal Settlement of the saidJane Baskervile
to be in the said
Parish of St.Peter nearBennet at Pauls Wharfe Londonand
that thithertosheought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in HisMajesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Jane Baskervile

from and out of your saidParish of St. Ethelburga
London, to the said Parish of St.Peter near PaulsBennet at
Wharfe London and her leave with the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide forher
according to Law. Hereof sail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the twentieth
second Day of JulyAnne Domini 1724 .
