the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and Seals are hereunto sett two of his Majtys Juctices of
the peace for the City of London (Quor Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St Bartholomew the great
London That

his wife
are
lately come into the
said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true and forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of
the said Ann Reason That her said Husband Thomas enter
and dwelt in a house of One hundred and Fifty pounds P
Annm rent in the Parish of St. Mary Woolnoth
London
and no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us since. We do also adjudge the
said parish of St Mary Woolnoth
to be place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwarderns and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St Bartholomew ye great forthwith to remove and convey
the said Thomas Reason with Ann his wife
from out of your said parish unto the said parish of St Mary
Woolnoth and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there some or one of them who are
hereby require to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our hands and Seals this Eleventh day of
April Anno Dui 1723
