the peace for the City of London (Quorn Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St Giles without Cripplegate

Years arelately come into the
Said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true. and forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of
the said Elizabeth Davis That her Father

a house of Two & Twenty pounds P Anns rent in the parish of St. Michael
Bassishaw
London her Said husband being absconded no place of
his last legal Settlement being upon a Strict Examinacon to be
foundand no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us Since We do also adjudge the
said parish of St Michael Bassishaw to be the place of their last
legal Settlement
These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Giles wthout Cripplegate forthwith to remove and conoey
the said Elizabeth Davis with Elizabeth her Child
from out of nour said parish unto the said parish at St Michael
Bassishawand them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there Some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our hands and Seals this 20th day of
