Complaint being this Day made unto us, Whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this
City and Liberties thereof (quorum unus) by you the Church wardens
and Overseers for the Poor of the Parish, of Saint Giles without
(Criplgt London. that Mathew Langton< no role > , Elizabeth< no role > his
wife & Mathew< no role > theire son about two years old ware
found in your Parish, not being Legally settled there, and if not
timely prevented, will become Chargeable thereunto:And for as much
as it appears unto us the said Justices, that the said Complaint is true;
also upon the Oath of the Said Mathew Langton< no role > that he was
a Covenant Servant the with one Richard Langton< no role > & as
Such Served him one year & halfe, & reced wages after
the rate of fifty two Shillings [..] tean he the Said
Richard Langton providing him wth. Lodging food &
Clothingwhich Rd Langton< no role > aforesaid wasthen
Inhabt in the parish of St. Michael Bassishaw
and no Subsequent Settlement appearing to us, WE
do therefore adjudge the said Parish of Saint Michaell
Bassishaw to be the legal Settlement of the said Mathew Langton< no role >
Elizth his wife & Mathew theire young son and thither by Law,
they ought to be sent.

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, requiring you the
Church-Wardens Overseers for the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Giles without Criplegt London, above said, forthwith upon Sight
hereof, to convey the said Mathw. Langton< no role > , Eliza< no role > his wife and
Mathw< no role > . theire son into the Parish of Saint Michaell
Bassishew aforesaid, there delivering. them
to the Church- Wardens and Overseers thereof, or some one of them,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for them accord-
ing to Law: Hereof fail not at your Perils. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 31. day of December 17 18
