Complaint being this day made unto us, whose hands and seals,
are hereunto sett Two of his Majesties Justices of the peace
for this Citty and Liberties thereof (quor un) by you she Church-
wardens and overseers for the poore of the parish of St. Giles
Criplegate London: That Phillip Jones< no role > togeather with
Sarah his wife and three Children Viz. Elizabeth< no role > about
Eleven, Ann< no role > about Seaven, and Phillip< no role > about two years & halfe
old, ware come into your parish, not having any Legall sett-
lement shire, and if not timely prevented may become Cha-
rgeable thereunto And for asmuchas it appears unto us
the said Justices upon the Oath of the said Phillip Jones< no role >
that as he hath been informed, and [..]
Phillip Jones< no role > his father was an insentment maker & Lived in
the parish of St. Margaret Westminster : in confirmation
of such his beleife he the said Phillip Jones< no role > made oath before
us the said Justices that the said psh of Sr. Margaret Westm
have [..] certified & owned him theire parrishioner Vzt.
by certificate bearing date the second day of March 1702
signd by the then Churchwards: & Justice Stone & Justice Raiborn
and that he hath not gained any subsequent settlement [..] where Wee
doe therefore adjudge the foresaid parish of St. Margaret West< no role > -
minster to be the Legall settlement of the said Phillip & Sarah
Jones
< no role > , and theire three children And theither by Law they
ought to be sent These are therefore in his Majesties
name requiring you the Churchwardens, & Overseers for the
poore of the parish of St. Giles criplegate London forthwith
upon sight hereof to convey the abovesaid Phillip & Sarah
Jones
< no role > , togeather with Elizabeth, Ann, And Phillip theire
Children, into the parish of St. Margaret Westminster afore-
said theire delivering them, to the Churchwardens & overseers
thereof, or some one of them Whoe are hereby requir'd to
find, and provide for according to Law: hereof faile not at
your perrills. Given under our Hands, and seals this
twenty eighth day of March 1715
