The Peticon and Appeale of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poore of the parish of St. Gyles wth. out Cripplegt. London

Sheweth

That one Mary Deebins< no role > widdow being greate with a Bastard Child by Warrant
under the hands and Seales of twoe of his Maties Justices of the peace within this
Citty (one being of the Quor) was sent by the Churchwardens of St. Mary Steyning to yor. Petrs. to be pvided for upon her Oath
That Shee lised a whole yeare as an hired Servant with Abraham Norton< no role > of
the parish of St. Gyles Cripplegate Turner about for 5 yeares Past Att
wyh P Annum whereas in Truth The said Mary Deebins dwelt with the said Mr.
Norton as a servant nott about 6 Months & soe had noe Settlement in their said Pish

Their humble suite unto yor. Lott. and Worpps. is
To heare them in the promises And to send the said Mary
Deebins< no role > to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poore
of the parish of St. Mary Steyning to be by them pvided
for untill They can free themselves of the Charge thereof by
due course of Lawe
