Complt being this day made unto us two of the
Majesties Justices of the peace for this City & Libties
(quor unus) by the Churchwardens & to overseers of
the Poore of the Parish of St Buttolphs Aldgate
London That one Daniel Taylor< no role > came lately into
the said Pish wth one Sarah Ellis< no role > his Prtended wife
& three young Children vizt. [..] Wm< no role > [..] Sarah< no role > and
Elizabeth< no role > undr prtence of haveing obtained a Settlemt
in yor sd Pish by Serveing an. apprentiship therein
wherefore they now are & like to continue
burthen there to unless timely prvented and whereas
upon Exaiation of the said Daniel this day upon
oath he the said Daniel confessed to us the said
Justices that he was never married to the said
Sarah Ellis< no role > but only tohabited with her as man
& wife & that all the said Children are bastards
& that the said Elizabeth is legally settled in the
Parish of St Buttolphs Bishops gate London where
she was borne.

These are therefore in His Majties name to require you
imediately upon light hereof to remove some ye
pass away the said bastard Child Elizabeth out of
your said Pish of St Buttolphs aldgate London into
the said parish of St Buttolphs Bishops gate London
of her there deliver to the Churchwardens & overseers
of ye poore of the said pish whome wee do hereby
require to receive and provide for according to Law
Hereof fail not [..] this shall be your warrt Give
undr our hands & Seals this as p day of December
1703.

To the Churchwardens & overseers of the
poore of the Pish of St Buttolphs Aldgate
London & To the Church wardens & over
Seers of ye poore of ye Pish of St Buttolphs
Bishops gate London & to all whome
these may Concerne.
