The Informations of James Carroll< no role >
Servant to Timothy Martin< no role > of the Kings
Head James Street Covent Garden Victualler
John Edwards< no role > at the Maidenhead Saint
Giles's Labourer and William Adams< no role >
at Mr. Burkes Dyott Street Saint Giles's
Labourer taken before me this 27. day of
March 1789.

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
James Carroll< no role > for himself says that on Wednesday, Night last
about 11 oClock the Person now Present who calls himself
George Knox< no role > came into this Informants Master House
and called for a Pint of Beer That Informant brought
him a pint Beer in a Silver Tankard and soon
after went out and returned in about Ten Minutes
when said Knox was gone and the Tankard [..] was missing
And the said John Edwards< no role > for himself says that he
was present at the time that said Carroll brought the
Beer for said Knox in the Silver Tankard That
said Knox asked this Informant to drink with him
which he did That said Knox then took the Tankard
in his Hand and sat down in the Box That in about
ten Minutes after said Knox went out of the House
and in a Minute a two after the Girl of the House
asked when the Silver Tankard was That Informant
told her the man was gone out And this Informant
further says that he is very sure the said Knox
Stole the said Tankard And the said William Adams< no role >
for himself says that he was present and saw said
