The Information of Richard Crutcher< no role > This name instance is in set 1690. near the Horse Ferry in
the Parish of St. Mary Rotherhith in the County of Surry
Blacksmith and Wm. Elbey< no role > of the parish of St. Paul Shadwell in
the County of Middlesex Sainity Officer taken this 11th of March 1789

The said Richard Crutcher< no role > This name instance is in set 1690. on his oath saith his Shop situate as aforesd.
distant from his dwelling house was broke open between the hour of Nine
on Sunday night of the 8th of March Instant and the hour of Seven in
the morning of the next day and the Two pair of Iron tongs produced
are of the Value of Two Shillings and six pence and his property were
safe in his Shop at nine of the Clock on Sunday night last and werewastaken
out of his said Shop that night or next morning before the hour of seven
Further says three Iron hammers and a Quantity of Old Iron was
taken out his said Shop on the same night or neat morning

of Seven and Right he Stopt the person present who says his name
is John Devoy< no role > in the parish of St.MiddleAnn Middlesex having
a quantity of Iron in the bag produced who he stopt and asked how
he came by it who answered for a man who he could not tell his
name nor where he was going to carry said bagwith saidThat
on Examining said bag He found the Two pair of Iron tongs produced
claimed by Richard Crutcher< no role > This name instance is in set 1690. to be his property.

John Devoy< no role > says last night standing by the padgins looking at the lights
thata man clapped him on his Shoulder and asked him if he would
carry the Bag and what was in the Bag for him he would give him Two
Shillings did not tell him where That they both came over in a
boat to a Stairs near Limehouse Bridge that as they came out
of the Boat the man who said he was owner of the Bag produced and
what it contained gave [..] to him to carry and soon after he was
stopped by Mr. Elbey The said man having left him
