The Information of Elizabeth Davis< no role > and Patrick Carr< no role > Taken upon Oath
before me George Reid< no role > Esqr one of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County this 7th day of
Febry. 89

This Informant upon her Oath saith that about
the hour of eight of the Night of Monday the fifth of January last
thatthe two Persons now present who calls themselves Patrick Carr< no role > & John Saunders< no role > weresaw her home to her apartment left
her and went away this Informant then went to Bed, and left
a Candle a light and aboutthree Minutesa Quarter of an hour afterwards she saw
the Prisoner who calls himself by the Name of John Saunders< no role >
come into the Room, and go out again, and hath every reason
to suspect that he did feloniously and Privately steal therein
One Silver Watch with a Blue Ribbon and a Seal set in Metal
of the Value of Forty Shillings and upwards the Property
of [..] Owen Davis< no role > This Informant upon Oath further
saith that at the time the said John Saunders< no role > [..] came into the said Room the
Watch was hanging up against the Chinney Piece
that she saw the said John Saunders< no role > pass by the Placewere
where the Watch was hanging that he left the room almost
Immediatly and upon her looking towards the Chimney
she saw the Watch was gone And this Informant
further Possitively sevens that no person whatever came
into the Room but the said John Saunders< no role > before she
missed the Watch

that he together with a Person now Present who calls himself
John Saunders< no role > did upon the fifth day of Janry. last accompany
the other Informant Eliste. Davis< no role > to see her safe home that
they both went into her apartment where he saw a Silver Watch
