The Information of Joseph Porter< no role > of Middle
Scotland Yard in the said County Engraver
taken before me this 26th. of Decemr. 1788

Who being upon Oath saith that this afternoon
between four and five o Clock as he was standing near the Steps leading out
of the Piazza into Covent Garden Theatre Passage with
intention of going into the two Shilling Gallery of
the said Theatre in company with the aforesaid
John Dadley< no role > ofhe observed the said Dadley much
[..] pushed about and Some time afterwards exclaim
that he had been robbed That this Informant
immediately received several Blows in his face
and was himself also robbed of two Shillings
That at this time to the best of this Informant knowledge the
said George Wakeman< no role > was amongst the croud and
near this Informant and the said Dadley And
further saith that he doth verily belive that the said
George Wakeman< no role > is one of the persons that assaulted
and heat him in the face and that he is one
