James Baker< no role > at Mr. Martha Staples< no role > No 34. Virginia Street
St George Middlesex Seaman his Oath saith last night the
house of the said Martha was broke open and a Nankeep Coat
and Waist coat a pair of White limen Troweres Two pair of
Cotton Stockings, and a Hat his Property were Stole in
the Kitchen of the said house that the had produced was Stole
as aforesaid and found by Him and shree Officers of Well
close Square office this day upon David Braithwait< no role > one
of the Prisoners present

Martha Staples< no role > on her Oath saith she went to bed last night
about the Hour of Eleven after seeing the Windows and door
safe That she got up this Morning as the Bell of Si George Middx .
was tolling before the tour of Six that she found the Kitchen
window had been forced open and five Striped and checked Shirts
which was entrusted to her to [..] wash taken off the Dresser
and one Linnen Street and pillow case her Property folded
down laid on said Shirtsnine pair of Different sort, of
Stocking of her own and lodgers wasted last night taken away
likewise her Sord and daughter infant Children wearing appear
taken away Two Waisteoat one Striped one white both Cotton
entrusted to her to wart a White Linen Apron The Muslin
Cap her property made another cap part made only entrusted to her make
a Napken and pocket and hand kerchief her property is all she
a present recollects further says the Cheek shirt Produced taken
from David Braith wait in this Office is one of the aforesaid
check Shirts that was Stole as aforesaid

John Cook< no role > [..] Officer on his Oath Saith this Morning hearing
that a house had been Broker open in Virginia last night he
went down Salt petre Bank and met with James Bater
who gave on Vacount that No. 34 in Virginia Street had been
broke open and that he had been Robbed of a hat which he could
Swear to and other articles which were taken out of the said House
say himself John Riles< no role > and Richard Pumell officers of this
office went with James Baker< no role > in order to find the theives of
they could and soon after in East smith field they met with
David Brath wait, Daniel Leary< no role > and John Wilson< no role > That they
stopt Braithwait when Baker challenged the hat produced which
he had on his head to be his Property and beleived the Shirts he had on
was one of his fallow Lodgers
