5th day of October 1789

And first the said John Benge for himself Saith on Friday
last the 2d. day of October [..] he met with the Prwanes [..] with says her Name is Rebecca Dawson< no role > at the Sign of the
Lyon Man of War in East Smith field that she asked him to go down with her to
he a House in Sun Yard that when they got to the said House she asked him
for some gin he said he had no money she then put her Hand into his
Pocket and forceably took out of one Guinea in Gold and about nine Shillings
in Silver and said she only whanted to look at it she would not keep it that Prisoner
sent another Woman who was in the Room for some Water that the woman went out and
Stoped some time that Prisoner said she was very tharsty and wod. go and seek for
the other Woman and return Immediatly that he waited Jane time with out her
returning that he called down Stairs when the woman who had been sent
for the Water came up and told him he need not Stay any longer for that
his Money was gone he then called the Watchman to take the Parties into Custody
Thomas Gray< no role > Flower says about half an Hour after Twelve of Clock on
Friday Night 2d. October Instant he was called that he went to Mrs.
shorts House when Mrs. Benge gave Charge of Learn Fraizer for Robbing him
that Frazier went with him into Hatchet ally where they found the Prisoner
that she said she had only taken Seven Shillings and Sixpence from him that she
was taken to the Watch House and Searched when twelve Shillings and Six pence
was found in her Pocket but did not find any Guinea
