Robert Walson< no role > of Bristol Butcher being sworn
saith That on Tuesday the 5t. of May instant
being on inside Passenger in the Lincoln
Coach and intending for Slilton to see a
Fight between Mendoya and Humphreys [..]
or the Coach Stopping at Endfield Hughway
near the Black Horse William Ward< no role > who
was on outside Passenger said he would
lay two to one on the fight and was answered
by the deced I will fight you for a Guinea
(addressing himself to Ward) if you will come
down and look out a Guinea and throw [..]
it on the Ground that Ward then come down
but previous thereto Swain look off his apron
and said I will Smack your arse with
this that upon Ward coming down he [..]
the deced said he would fight him for 20 Guinea
and they began fighting but which Shirt
first Deponent cannot say but he believes
the deced made the first attempt that they
continued to Fight for about two Minutes
