Fight the deced pulled Wards Hair Shotthey
[..] the deponent was
Sufficiently near to have heard if the
deceased had declined to Fight but did not
hear him so do but admitts it might be
Possible for him so have said Samuel without
withouthis hearing it that at the time the
deced Received the last Blow which was
on his Month he was in the very Act of
Fighting that upon receiving such Blow
he fell to the Ground that Deponent with was
went into the Coach and had proceeded on his
Journey and had got about Two Miles on
the Road when they were over taken by a
Person on Horseback who informed them of
the death of Swain upon such Information
Ward got out of the Coach and procured a
Post Chaise for the purpose as Ward declared
to Deponent of Surrendering himself at the
Office in Bow Sheet and had proceeded as
far as Tottenham for that purpose when
They were over taken by three Men who
took Ward into Custody
