Table Cloth One Black Silk Cloak One Pair of Womens
Pocket with papers They [..] and in the said Higgins
Pocket this Inft. saw he had One Silver Punch Ladle
with a Black Twisted handle Bat this Inft. suspecting
some Wrong Applied to his Land lady and had him
turned ant of the house Instantly and this Inft.
Lenth a saith upon hearing a Robbery had been
committed in Castle Street he immediately suspected
Higgins and sought after him for Two Days when
he at last came to this Inft. Lodgings when he gave
Proper Notice to the Watch and gave him in Charge
upon the Suspicion when upon his being searched in
the presence of this Informant he saw the Memorandum
Book the Stone Pin, Housewife and Handkerchief now
produced and Sworn to be the Property of the other
Informant Elizth. Rugge found upon the Person of
the said Michael Higgins< no role > concealed in his Breeches
And this Inft. Theophilus Butcher< no role > says that
On Tuesday Night last he went to the House of
Samuel Keep< no role > in Castle Sheet afs and upon
Examining the Appartment of Mrs. Rugge a
Lodger there found a Door of Communication between
the Room of Robert Theives and Mrs. Rugge Which
had been Nailed up anor Bolted on the inside next to
Mrs. Rugges Appartment had been force open the
Nails being drawn and the Bolt Veriably taken of
and this Informant further saith that on a Storng
Suspicion that the Person now present who calls
himself Michael Higgins< no role > had been [..] Committing a
Robbery in the said Appartment This Inft. was
on Thursday Night last sent to by the other. Informt.
Mr Penterist to Apprehend the said Higgins which
he did and upon Searching him in the Watchouse
the Memorandum Book the Stone Pin the Nunslwife
the Handkerchief and the Pawn Brokers Duplicate
found in his Breeches and sworn to be the Property
of the other Informant Elizabeth Rugge.
