Middlesex to wit


The Examination of Richard Bryant< no role >
taken before me this 30th. day of
January 1788

Who saith that he doth not know Ann Harris< no role >
of Old Street with respect to the Notes now
produced by him and found in her Garden and
the Note which John Thorn< no role > took from him
and in lion of which he received from the
said John Thorn< no role > two Guineas the following
is the true State of the Case Vizt. That to the
best of his Remembrance on Monday the 14th.
day of January Instant about Seven o'Clock
in the Morning as he was going to Work on the
Road between Goswell Street and the Upper
Turnpike he found a Parcel wrap't up in a
Piece of Brown Paper inclosed in a Close Paper
That the said Parcel contained a variety of
Pieces of Paper that he took it up put it into his
Pocket and at dinner time took it home that
when he got home he laid it upon the Table that
it continued there some Hours that he then
put it into a Drawer belonging to said Table
That the said Papers continued in the said Drawer
for some Days when upon John Thorn< no role > 's
accidentally coming into his House he shewed
him the said Parcel and asked him if they
were good for any thing That upon this the
said John Thorn< no role > said they were good and
took away are intuitionally to try it
