The Information of George Brissett< no role > Esqr.
of the Old Hummums Covert Garden,
Alexander Bryson< no role > of Bow Street Covent
Garden Labourer, William Orange< no role > Esqr. of
No. 28 St. Alban Street Pallmall and John
Collier
< no role > of No. 10 Forster Lane Cheapside
Surgeon taken before me this 18th. day of
February 1788.

Who being upon Oath say and first the said George Brissett< no role >
says that on Saturday Night last about half past 10 o'Clock
as he was coming out of Drury Lane Theatre in Company with
other Gentlemen he observed a Crowd at the Top of Bridges Street
That fearing he should loose the property he had about him, he
put his hands in his Coat Pockets to secure the same, that in
endeavouring to pass through the Crowd he was jostled by several
of them, among which was a person now present who calls himself
John James< no role > who Stood immediately before him, and in an Instant
his Gold Watch with 2 Seals set in Gold, a Compassing set in Gold
and a Gold Key, were feloniously snatched from him; that he
instantly called out Stop Thief, and that he had last his Watch
when the said James Ran away and being pursued with the
Cry of Stop Thief was soon after secured. And this Informant
further says that he doth suspect and verily believe that the
said John James< no role > feloniously Robbed him of his said Watch
Seals, Ring and Key. And the said Alexander Bryson< no role > says
that he was Standing near the foot pavement at the Top of
Bridges Street at this time that the said James Shoved against
him with his Right Arm saying at the same time to two or more
of his Companions before him "Damk ye" Push on, "at which time he
heard Mr. Brissett say he had last his Watch; that supposing
