The Information of Mary Wife of John Humphreys< no role > of No:13 Ship Street in the Parish
of Saint George in the said County Lighterman and Ann< no role > Wife of William Parker< no role > of No:12
Ship Street in the said Parish and County Lighterman Taken this 25th. day of November
1788

Mary Humphrys< no role > on her oath saith last night between the hours of Nine and Ten she went to publicks house
near to order a pot of beer where was the person present who says her name is
Sarah Warren< no role > Who she had often given her food for charity - and had slept a night or
Two at her husbands house -That said Sarah bought the pot of Beer who she
asked to go up Stairs and fetch a pice of Beef which was in a Dish upon the Drawers
says the brought said meat down and eat some and went away - That soon after
a young man came and asked for Mr. Parker saying he had found a prize and
shewed her a muslin handkerchief which she instantly knew was hers - That
she went up him to bring the fellow handkerchief and then discovered that three
muslen Aprons One Laced one Hounced and one plain,Two muslin handkerchief two pair
of Round Robbins one Capp and Two Silk Ribbons one for the head the other for a Such had
been taken out of the Room where the beef was - all which Articles were safe
Yesterday at noonThat said Sarah came about half an hour of her and
asked of Mr. Pouncon by was gone Says suspecting her to be the thief she
told her what she suspected That Warren denyed knowing only thing of the
Robbery offered to be searched - and in Stripping herself the two Round
Robbins and Ribbon produced dropt out of her boron and in her pocket
She found and the ribbon produced and that she is certain the cap Robbins and Ribbons produced
are her husband John Humphrys< no role > property and were taken out of his house between
Yesterday noon and the time she went up at night to look for the handkerchief

St. George Middlesex both Watchmen and Lightermen on her oath saith she was
at Mr Humphrys when Sarah Warren< no role > brought the Beer and saw her go up Stairs
for some feet by Mr. Humphrys order and saw Mr. Humphrys followd
and had some beef that Mr. Humphrys asked Sarah Warren< no role > to go up
Stairs the second time - when Mr. Humphrys called Mr. Benson by
up Stairs who went and soon after Mr. Humphrys came down
and after Penven by and Warrener Warren< no role > went into the Kitchen
out of the Window and into next house and gotaway or Mr
Humphrys knocking at the door - says Warren came again to ask
for Mr ponren bywhen she was challenged with having robbed
the House she offered to Strip and ded Strip and the Straw
Coloured Rebbon and the Robins were on the ground near where
she stood and then John Hooper< no role > brought the Cap produced from
out of the Yard that Warren went into the House claimed
by Mr. Humphrys< no role >
