Middlesex to Wit

The Information of Charles Pinkstone< no role >
Navy Agent in Exeter Court Strand
taken before me this 9th. day of
December 1788

Who upon his Oath saith that on Thursday
Morning last a person now present who calls himself
John Burn< no role > came to this informants House and
produced to him the Letter of Attorney now produced
purporting to be the Letter of Attorney of Patrick Denneshew
asking their Informant to receive the Money [..] that might
be due thereon [..] adding that he had called at
this Informants House the day before and not finding
him at home had brought it now and that he expected
to see the Attorney meaning Ann Beach< no role > who had promised
to meet him there -- That suspecting said Letter of Attorney
to be a forgery he then took no farther Notice to said
Burn after which said Burn went out and brought
in a Woman -- that after some time Informant desired
said Burn and Woman to go and wait at a public
House and when at leisure he would come to them
That Informant then went to Mr. Mattocks to have
his Opinion on said Letter of Attorney who confirming
Informants opinion of its being a forgery and requesting
Informant to bring said Burn and Woman to him,
to went to the White Horse in Exeter Court where he
found them and desired them to come to him at the
