Shop and this Informant further saith there was a
considerable Quantity of Cloaths & Goods in the said
Shop and that he dish upon his Oath verily believe
that the said John William< no role > did break & enter the
same with an intent feloniously by the Steal
take & carry away the Cloaths & Goods contained
therein or some part thereof

The Examination of Joseph Gardiner< no role > one
of People called Quaters

Who says he his by Trade a Taylor and Keeps
and lives in a shop in Swallow Street in the Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square that the said Shop having
been broke open & attempted to [..] robbed about on
fortnight ago and having occasion to go out
in the Evening of the 9th.. Instant he got the above
Informant to go into & Watch the same & when he
went away he locked the said Joseph Strutt< no role > in the said
Shop & took away the Key that there was a Cloaths
& Goods to a considerable Amount in the said Shop
that it was about half after five O'Clock in the Evening
when he lacked the said Joseph Strutt< no role > in the said Shops
