taken before me this 19th. day of
July 1788

Who Voluntarily confesseth that at different
times he has feloniously stolen and carried away
a great Variety of Articles the property of his
Grace the Duke of DevonshireThat amongst
the said Articles he has taken away a great
Number of Gold, MedalsThat part of the
said Medals Viz< no role > twenty nine he sold to
Thomas Harper< no role > now present for Twenty
Three Pounds and odd in two Ten Pound
Notes and Cash

That another part of said Medals Viz< no role >
about fiftytwenty ninedhe sold to Thomas Whitford< no role >
now present for between thirty three Pounds
and thirty four Pounds on the 17th. of May last

That a third part of said Medals Viz
ten he sold to John Parker< no role > now present
on the 15th. or 16th. of May last for eleven
Guineas

That a fourth part Viz about One
Hundred Medals a Gold Snuff Box five
or Six Rings and Several pieces of gold he
sold at two different times to Joseph Clark< no role >
now present at Mr. Peter Planks a
Refiners in Long Acre to the Account of £83
