before me one of his
Majesty's Justices of the
peace for the said County

Who being severally upon oath Say
And first this Informant John Sarbitt< no role >
for himself Saith that he lives in Saint
Martins Court and keeps a Silver
Smith and Jeweller's Shop, that about
eight of the Clock this Evening the person
now present who calls himself John
Beale
< no role > came into this Informant shop
and desired to see some fancy gold rings
which this Informant's wife shewed
him and soon after regulated to see
some plain gold rings which this Informants
wife also shewed him and in about four
or five minutes after the said John Beale< no role >
came into the shop he attempted to go
away when this Informant's wife called
out to him and said the said John Beale< no role >
had taken one of the plain gold rings
