Who being on their Oaths severally say and first the said John

for himself Saith on Monday last he was in the House of

in the Lock up Room there, in which Room was likewise the person present who
says her Name is Jane Hammond< no role >
that during the time he was in the
said Lerk up Room a Half Guinea was taken out of his Pocket, and that he
verily believes the half Guinea now produced by Dennis Cranny< no role >
is the very
half Guinea which was taken Out of his Pocket as aforesaidAnd the field
Susannah Burn for herself Saith that on Monday last she saw the above
named Jane Hammond< no role >
take her hand out of the right hand Breeches pocket of the
said John Williamson< no role >
as he lay asleep on his Book in the Look up Room
And the said Sarah Warren< no role >
for herself saith that on Monday last she
saw Jane Hammond< no role >
put her hand into the right hand Breeches Pocket of

on as he lay asleep on his Back in the Lock up
Room of Mr. Dix as above Mentioned That she likewise saw the said

go towards the Partition which divides the two Lockup
Rooms in the other of which was Mary Hammond< no role >
the prisoner likewise now here
Present that hearing something Drop she ment to the place where the said Mary was
confined saw her Stoop and lake up something whereupon Informant challenged the sand
Mary with having taken the half Guinea produced. when the said Mary took the half
Guinea produced out of her Mouth shewed it to [..] Informant and told her she might
us well go to Bredwell for somethingFurther Saith that she then told Dennis Cranny< no role >
the Officer of the Transaction who went and searched the said Mary Hammond< no role >
in this
Informant presence who saw the same half Guinea drop from Bosom and that
said Mary Hammond< no role >
before the Officer had searched her declared to him that she had
nought but two pence which she had spent before
