The Information of Samuel Foley< no role > and William Elkey< no role > Taken before
me One of his Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the said County.

Samuel Toley< no role > No. 67 Pennington Street< no role > St. George Middlesex Smith
on his Oath saith on Thursday night of the Sixth Instant his Shop situate
in Whites Yard Rosemary Lane Whitechapel [..] was broke open And
the side of an Iron Grate an Iron Axle trees an Anvil and Bar of Iron
taken away says the Anvil and Bar of Iron produced are his property
and were found on Searching the lodgings of Benjamin Bird< no role > situate
in Mercers Row No. 7 Saint Paul Shadwell by him this Informants at one Mr. Lester
and that the said Articles are of the Value of thirty Shillings
William Elbey< no role > on his oath saith Yesterday he went with a Search
Warrant to the house of Mary Lester< no role > at No. 7 Mercer Row Shadwell
And in the Lodgings of Benjamin Bird< no role > in the said house found the
[..] Iron bar now produced in the cup board of the said Room

Benjamin Bird< no role > says on Thursday night last about the hour of Ten
as he was coming to his Lodging No. 7 in Mercers Row being near Common
street Turnpike a Men having the Bar of Iron and Anvil asked him
if he livers night head says he told said Man who he doth not know that
he lived in Mercer Row Who desired him to help to carry them to where
the lived and he would call the next Evening give him Eighteen pence
and take them away the said Man said he was in great distress and was
his things because he could not pay his sent
