Who being upon Oath say and first the said Thomas Lowring
for himself says that eleven pair of Shoes now produced are his
property and have been stolen from his Shop at different Times,
and the said Thomas Gaiter for himself says that yesterday he found
two pair of the said Shoes upon John Ford< no role >
now present who acknowledged
that he had stolen them without Mr. Lowring's Knowledge and likewise
acknowledge that he had stolen other Shoes from the said Mr. Lowring
and that he would shew the Shop where he had sold them, and the said
John Saunders< no role >
and William Strickland< no role >
for themselves, say that in
Consequence of the said John Ford< no role >
's Acknowledgement they went with
him to the House of John Davies< no role >
now present in Bird Street where
this Informant John Saunders< no role >
found the other nine pair of Shoes
now produced and which shoes the said John Davies< no role >
owned that he
had bought at different Times from the said John Ford< no role >
at Prices
much under the next value of them, And these Informant further
say that the said John Davis< no role >
being a Shoemaker
and a Judge of the
value of Shoes and purchasing Shoes under Price from a Man of
the said John Ford< no role >
's Appearance they verily believes the said
John Davies< no role >
knew the said Shoes which he purchased must have
been Stolen
