The Information of

who on his Oath saith
about twenty minutes after One oClock this Afternoon as
this informant was walking up Princes street
in the Parish
of St: James.
in company with
Mary Boydell< no role >
. he was greatly
Alarmed by the report of a Pistol close to his Ear. that he
immediatly turned round and saw the Person now present
who calls himself
John Elliott< no role >
with a brace of Pistols (tied
together with pack thread) in his Right hand and that he
immediatly seized the said Elliott by the Cellar.

on his Oath saith, that looking out of
his Window in Princes street
aforesaid he observed a Gentleman
and a Lady passing by his house arm in arm, and he perfectly saw

the Prisioner point his hand toward the said Gentleman
and Lady being close to them. and he saw the flash. and heard a
Violent Report by the discharge of a Pistol and on Searching the
Prisoner. an other Pair of loaded Pistols (tied together with twine)
was found in his pocket.

to Mr. Brand Surgeon. also on his
Oath saith that as he was walking down Princes Street
a little
after One o'Clock this Afternoon. he observed a Lady and Gentn.
walking up the street, and the Prisoner running after them
and Just as he overtook them he saw the Prisoner point something
towards the Lady. and he immediately saw the flash and heard
the Report of Pistol and this Informant also saw the aforesaid
Gentleman (in Company with the Lady) seize the Prisoner by the
Cellar and several other people came to his assistance-and
the Prisioner let the Pair of Pistols (tied togather with pack thread)
fall out of his hands, and this Informants took them up. and
are the same now produced.
