before me this 10th. day of July 1784
Who being upon Oath Saith that the person now present
who calls himself William Craig< no role >
lived with him this
Informant as a Shopman
and Porter
that from some
irregularities in his conduct he gave him Notice to quit
his Service That he particularly enquired of him what
was become of a Book of Instruments lettered on
the back poems when the said Craig replied it was sold
That on Searching the Lodgings of said Craig he found
the Book of Instruments the two Bottles and divers
other Articles now produced And that he is very sure
that the said Book in the same he so enquired after
as aforesaid and that he verily believes the said
Book together with the Bottles and the other Articles
were feloniously Stolen in the said Shop.
