Middlesex to wit

The Informations of Thomas Rose< no role > of the
Strand Linen Draper and John Strong
Setward
< no role > Shopman to said Thomas Rose< no role >
taken before me this 19th. day of June 1787

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Thomas
Rose
< no role > for himself says that the person now present who calls
himself George Wall< no role > came to the Shop of this Informant
on Thursday the Seventh of June Instant and told him that he
had an order from Doctor Winstanley for a piece of Irish Linen
That two Shillings ad six pence or two Shillings and nine
pence per Yard and another about three Shillings or three
Shillings and three pence likewise some pocket Handkerchief
and some Muslins That Doctor Winstanley had formerly
death with Ashley and Osborn on Holborn Bridge and had
recommended him thither but knowing him he gave
him the preference That he accordingly consented that
John Strong Selward< no role > and now present should take the said Goods
and go with him for the purpose of Shewing them to
Mrs. Winstanley and that the Agreement between him and
the said Wall that they should be back in two hours time
and further says that the said Wall declared to him that
he believed he could sell one of the pieces to Mr. Brotherton
with whom he was as intimate as if he was his brother
And the said John Strong Selward for himself Says that
by the direction of the said Thomas Rose< no role > he went with said
Wall and assisted him in carrying Six pieces of Irish Linen
several quantities of Muslin and pocket Handkerchiefs
to Mr. Brotherton's at the black Horse petty France Westminster
That the said Wall left him said Selward in the House
of said Mr. Brotherton and took with him four pieces of Irish
Linen one piece of Muslin and one piece of Handkerchief
and a Kinapper for the purpose of Shewing the same to Mrs.
Brotherton and Mrs. Winstanley And this Informant
further says that he waited a considerable time at the said
House but the said Wall did not return nor did he see
him after until he was apprehended on Monday last
And the said Thomas Rose< no role > for himself further says
that the three pieces of Irish Linen the piece of Muslin and the
piece of Handkerchief now produced are his property and are the
same Linen Muslins and Handkerchief which the said
