Thames opposite Wapping Old Stairs in the Parish of St. John of Wapping That Yesterday
being the 13th day of May Instant about the Hour of Three in afternoon he went
on Shore for some Victuals at which Time the said Ship was safe She after [..] Locked State Room
and Cabbin Doors both lockedSays he returned on board in about an hour and half
when he found the Person present who says his Name is John Watson< no role > on the said Ships
deck near the after Hatchway who reached how he came there That he answered
one of the Apprentices had sent him and gave him the key produced to go on board
said Ship for somethingSays he then told him he should not go out of the ship until he had
searched him when he run out of said Ship toward Execution dock and on his calling out
Stop thief was Stopped and brought by, Two mens along the Waterside to Wapping Old Stairs Causway
when he gave him in Charge to Thomas Cox< no role > Constable of Wapping Says he went
on board the ship immediately and found the After Hatch open the Cabin Door State Room
door and the Captains Chest Open That said key opens the Lock of the after Hatch which
lead to the Cabin and likewise found the Blundle produced lying near the said Hatchway
Says The Seven Cloth [..] Coats. Three pair of Breeches Four Waistcoats Six pair of Stockings Four
Linnen [..] Shirts one Handkerchief wrapt up in a Linnen Street and Worsted Rug compared
the said Bundle

Articles above mentioned being his Property, were safe locked up he having the
