Who upon his Oath saith That near the hour of Eleven o Clock last night he
went into the Red Lyon Alehouse
[..] corner of Red Lyon Street
Holborn
and Two Women namely Charlotte Green< no role >
and Sarah Lee< no role >
followed him and begged a Glass of Gin of him upon which he Treated
them with a Glass of Gin each and pulled out a Leather Purse
which Contained about Thirty Pounds in Gold and Silver to pay
for the Liquor which Purse and Money he put in his let
hand side Coat Pocket and then went out of the House and was going
house That he had not got above 100 Yards from the said House
when he was followed and stopd by the said Two Women
one Took him by one Arm the other Took him by the other Arm
and asked him if he would go with them That Green then put
her hand in his side Coat Pocket and Took out his said Purse
and Money and they both ran away down Feathers tone Buildings
That he followed them and Cryed out Hop Thief but they both
Escaped That he then went down to the said Ale house again
and was there informed of the Name of Charlotte Green< no role >
who
they said was one of the Women whom he had treated with Gin
in the said House And this Information Castly Saith That
the said Two Women were soon afterwards apprehended and
brought to the Watch house of Saint George the Martyr
and he
possitively saith that The said Charlotte Green< no role >
was the Person who Robbedj
him of his Purse and Money as aforesaid and the said Sarah Lee< no role >
is the Person who aided and assisted in Robbing him as abovementioned
