Informant asked him if he knew what was in the
Pocket Book he said he Could not Recollect any thing in
particular but there was a Duplicate of a Coat pawned
Informant asked him if he saw a Knife That Mick
had he said yes and as Mr. Hunt had Irish Mick by the
Collar Mick told him That he had Knife drawn
in his hand all the way till he came to Smarts buildings
and then Mick Struck Mr. Hunt and released himself
from his hold and then several Blows passed between
them with Sticks Informant asked him if he should
know the Knife and he said he could pick it out from
a dozen and that there was a Mark on one side which
he believed was Micks Name and that there was some
Blood on it which was either Wiped or Washed off
He then asked him how his Finger became Cut when he
said he could not tell but he believed Fish Mick
Cut it at the time the Affair happened but the prisoner
declared he did not lay hold of the deceased at all

And this Informant Isaac Hunt< no role > for
himself saith That he was present with the said
Jacob Freeman< no role > at the time he Took the said Payne
and very well remembers he was one of the persons
Concerned in the above Transaction That he appeared
to be in a Dark Blue Jacket and when this Informant
had Michael Walker< no role > in Custody the said Payne came and
this Informant Struck at him but Missed him This
Informant saw him very busy and saw him make a
Blow at the deceased but whether he Struck him or not
he cannot tell
