The Several Informations of Judith Martin< no role >
Wife of James-Martin< no role > and James Moore< no role >
Taken the 9th. day of December 1786

Who upon their Oaths say and first the said Judith Martin< no role >
for herself saith That one Arthur Donaldson< no role > came
to her House-Wednesday last was fortnight and hired
a Lodging up Two pair of Stairs a Two pence a Night
That he Contained there untill last Tuesday That there
were in the said Lodging Room a Great Coat a Waistcoat
and a pair of Velvet Breeches the Property of [..]
James Moore< no role > and a Cloth Coat a Waistcoat and a pair of
Leather Breeches the Property of William Magg< no role > in the said
Lodging Room which were all there at 5 o' Clock on the
said Tuesday afternoon at which time the went into the
Room to make the Beds That about half an hour
afterwards the said Donaldson came in and asked for a
Light to go up Stairs Which she gave him That he
went up Stairs and came down about half an hour
afterwards and went away and had a Bundle in his Possession
at such time In about Ten Minutes afterwards she
went up to the said Room for a Waistcoat for Magg
and all the above mentioned Cloaths were taken away
and from the Circumstances above mentioned she has part
Reason to Suspect that the said Donalds on Stole the
same Things For he absconded from his Lodgings
without giving any Notice to Quit or payment of his
Rent and has not been there since and that or small
Knife which was found upon him when he was taken into
Custody and which is now produced is her property and was
lent by her to the said James Moore< no role > and which Knife was in
the Great Coat pocket when the same was Taken away
