Samuel Vines< no role > Clerk to John Vernon< no role > the younger Sollicitor to His Majesty's
Mint and Dennis Mc. Donald< no role > one of the Officers belonging to the Rotation Office
Litchfield Street severally make Oath and say And first this Deponent Samuel
Vines
< no role > for himself Saith That on or about the twenty second of November
last Richard Harris< no role > was committed for Tryal as the present Old Bailey
Sessions by the Magistrates then sitting at the Rotation Office in Litch field
Street aforesaid for Felony in selling Counterfeit Halfpence to Margaret
Golding
< no role > otherwise Mc Cabe fir less than their denominated Value and the said Margaret
Golding
< no role > otherwise Mc Cabe and the other Deponent Dennis Mc. Donald were
severally bound over by the said Magistrate to appear at Hicks's Hall
the present Sessions and prefer a Bill of Indictment against the said
Richard Harris< no role > and prosecute him thereon for the said Felony for which he
was committed as aforesaid And this Deponent further Saith that a Bill of
Indictment has been prepared and is now ready to be preferred against the said
Richard Harris< no role > for the said Felony and that the said Margaret Golding< no role > otherwise
Mc. Cabe is the principal Evidence on the part of the Crown against the said
Richard Harris< no role > in order to prove the commission of the said Felony And
with out whose Testimony before the Grand Jury the Bill of Indictment now
ready to be preferred for the said Felony cannot possibly in this Deponents
Indgment and belief be found a true Bill by the Grand Jury aforesaid
in as much as the said Margaret Golding< no role > otherwise Mc. Cabe is to prove the
purchasing of the said Richard Harris< no role > ten Shillings in Tall of Counterfeit
halfpence for seven Shillings in monies numbered being the Offence for
which the said Richard Harris< no role > committed as aforesaid
And this Deponent Dennis Mc. Donald for himself Saith that he hath
made diligent search after the said Margaret Golding< no role > otherwise Mc. Cabe
and hath inquired for her at the place and in the Neighbourhood thereof
where the said Margaret Golding< no role > otherwise Mc. Cabe inform'd this Deponent
she lodged in order to procure her Attendance with him this Deponent
before the Grand Jury at Hicks Hall to prefer the said Bill of Indictment
