The Information of William Braver< no role > Keeper of
the White Bear Alehouses in Princes Street Red
Lyon Square Taken the 5th. day of September 1786

Who upon his Oath Saith That about the hour of 10s. oClock
this Morning Two Men Namely Jeremiah Fog< no role > and
William Ryers< no role > came into his House and called from some
Gin and after drinking a Glass a piece asked this Informant
to Credit them for a pint of Beer till Noon which he
Consented and they drank it and went away soon afterwards
That they came to his House again about an hour afterwards
and called for another pint of Beer which he gave to them
That about a quarter of an hour afterwards Rogers called
to him and gave him a pocket Book desiring him to Take one
of it for him That this Informant took it and said he
supposed Rogers knew what it contained Rogers said he did
know what it contained for he had just looked into it
that this Informant then Carried it into the back parlour
and event about the house in [..] his business and about
10 Minutes afterwards his Sister called to him as he [..]
coming out of the Cellar and said somebody had run away
with the Till. That upon looking into the Bar he found the
Till now taken away. That there were some half pence in the
Till and Four Silver Tea Spoons. and several persons
being in the Tap room (among when was Fog Rogers
being gone away) who were all agreeable to be Searched
and as he was Searching them Rogers came into the Tap
Room and appeared Confused That upon Searching him
he found the Four Silver Spoons above mentioned in
his Right hand Breeches pocket Where upon he Changed
