On the Prosecution
of John Burrell< no role >
for Felony

John Carpenter< no role > of High Street Mile End New Town in
the County of Middlesex Labour maketh Oath, that he
having entered into a Recognizance to give his evidence
against the above named William Newcomb< no role > in April
session last, did Attend and give his Testimony before the
Grand Jury and Also immediately after the Bill of Indictment
was found Attended this Honorable Court from Day to day
to give his Evidence according to this Condition of his said
Recognizance, And this Deponent further saith that on the
day the Prisoner was Acquitted he also attended but was
informed that the London Jury who was then on would
continued for a considerable time longer, when this Depont.
went out of Court to get a little Refreshment which did not
exceed a Quarter of an hour land on his Return was informd
the Prisoner was Acquitted by the Middlesex Jury, And this
Deponent further positively saith that he hath not by
himself on any other person for him received any Gratuity
promise or Reward or in eppectancy of any for not being
present to give his Testimony nor would this Deponent
have departed this Honorable Court had he not been informed
and believed to be true that the London Jury
would have continued a considerable time longer
