The Information of Robert Taylor< no role > of Great
Tower Hill Gentleman taken before me this
23rd. day of March 1785.

Who being on Oath says that on or about the 17th. of October
last. this Informant with others searched the House of a Person
now present who calls himself John Barlow< no role > in Half Moon
Alley Bishopgate Street , in order to find Edward Payne< no role >
a Felon charged with robbing the Ship Elbe, but whom they
did not findThat upon this Informants questioning said
Barlow now he could think of harbouring said Payne in his
House knowing what he had done or Words to that effect
said Barlow Sneeringly replied that "this Informant was
come too late for that said Payne was gom a Hundred
Miles into the County in a Post Chaire"
