taken before me this 26th. day of March 1785
Who being on Oath says, and first the said William Murrell< no role >
says that about five oClock on Wednesday morning last he was
awakened by the said William Chalkley< no role >
who told him that he
had seen some person go along by the side of his House with
a Bag or Sack on his back and that he suspected said Person to
have robbed him. That he with said William Chalkley< no role >
pursued said
Person towards Town and apprehended two persons [..]
now present who call themselves Francis Cook< no role >
and Abraham
Slater< no role >
in the Road on whom he found, namely out he said
Cook two Fowls and on the said Slater an old Saddle which
he is very sure are his property and were that morning
Stolen from him and the said William Chalkley< no role >
says that he assisted
said Murrell in apprehending said Cook and Slater as aforesaid
