before me one of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of
Middlesex
.
This Informant on his Oath Saith That on the Twenty second day of
March Instant, a man and woman came into this Informants
Shop (who is a Pawn broker
in the [..] Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch
in the County of Middlesex
) when the woman told this
Informant she wanteda Guto look at a plain gold Ring, this
Informant then shewed him a Board containing about three
Dozen of Gold rings she then took one of the Rings off and in
return put on a Brass one in the stead thereof, then she took
Mother Ring off and this Informant seeing that he asked for
his Gold ring instead of the Brass one she had put on the board, which
she denied having, saying that the brass Ring was the same
that she had taken from the board, this Informant then sent
for a Peace Officer but before he came she had dropt the same on
the Ground, and the man throw away another Brass Ring
which was found on the Ground, And searching the woman she had
not more that Five pence half penny in her pocket, And Saith

the Prisoners now under
Examination are the same man and Woman who were in
his Shop as above mentioned
