Who being on Oath say and first the said Alexander Fenwick< no role >
says that on Sunday last William Steward< no role >
, was committed to this
Informants custody on suspicion of Felony and Burglary in the
House of Robert Snow< no role >
Esqr. expressed in his Warrant of Commitment.
That said William Steward< no role >
made his Escape from said Prison by
getting over the Prison Wall by means of a Rope thrown by some
Person or Persons from Fordyce's Field, on the other side of said
Wall, into said Prison and further says he doth belive and suspect
that William Gibbons< no role >
now present, feloniously aided and assisted
said Steward, in making his Escape as aforesaid. And said
Thomas Pearce< no role >
says that about two o'Clock in the Afternoon of
Tuesday last, he saw said William Gibbons< no role >
go into Tothill Fields
Bridewell
. And the said Robert Parsfield< no role >
says that on Tuesday
last between 4 & 5 o'Clock in the Afternoon he saw said William
Gibbons< no role >
walking on the outside of said Prison towards the Two
Brewers Alehouse
That between 6 and 7 o'Clock he saw said Gibbons
again standing still in the corner of Fordyce's Field
, close behind
said Gaol; in which Field there is no thorough fare
